Evgeny Shishenkov is a pianist, composer, and performer whose art blends jazz and
original music, filling each performance with sincerity and a genuine connection to the
audience.Born in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, Evgeny began his musical journey at Children’s Music
School No. 7, performing works by classical Russian composers such as Sergei
Rachmaninoff, Sergei Prokofiev, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky. At the age of 15, he started
composing his own music, exploring improvisation and original harmonic ideas. To further
develop his compositional and performance skills, he began private jazz studies and
gradually formed his unique style, combining academic traditions with the freedom of
improvisation. In 2025, Evgeny completed his Master’s degree in Pop & Jazz Piano at the New
Bulgarian University, where he deepened his understanding of contemporary musical
thinking and performance art.
Today, he performs actively as a soloist and as part of various ensembles—from jazz trios
to big bands. He is also a participant in international festivals and an organizer of concerts
that bring together musicians from different countries and cultures.
Evgeny Shishenkov’s music is a synthesis of classical heritage and modern sound, of
improvisation and thoughtful composition, of lyrical introspection and the vibrant energy of
live performance. Each of his concerts is a dialogue — a meeting space between sound and listeners.
